Derived from expertise acquired from first hand experience I offer professional consultive services in the following fields: Indian Act - First Nations History - Band Governance - Land Claims - Human Rights - and other related issues.
Over a twenty-three-year career of employment with the Department of Indian Affairs and the Confederacy of Mainland Micmacs, and another twenty or so with private enterprises, I’ve acquired extensive knowledge and experience in the application and administration of the Indian Act and regulations made thereunder, and in modern administrative and accounting procedures that would be very productive in assisting First Nation Communities with improving existing governance structures, or establishing them from scratch.
I’ve also acquired extensive negotiating expertise through participating in negotiations with federal, provincial and municipal governments, banks and other private institutions, etc., on behalf of Bands and organizations.

In Chapters 12, 13 and 14 of We Were Not the Savages, I provide in-depth information about how I helped settle several major land and legal claim issues and assisted bands and individuals settle favourably disputes with governments.
