Eskasoni Indian Agency Buildings - 1940s

The buildings shown, except the Church, were built and opened in the 1940s to house and provide workplaces for the staff that the federal government had hired to implement it's plans to centralize Nova Scotia's Mi'kmaq to Eskasoni and Shubenacadie. Similar construction took place at Shubenacadie. Photos provided by Richard Denny.
